Police reports and related record questions go to the SLMPD Records Service Center, 1915 Olive Street, first floor, St. Louis, Missouri 63103. Its police-report line is 314-444-5551, and its record-check line is 314-444-5541.
The St. Louis City Sheriff’s Office is based in the Civil Courts Building, 10 North Tucker Boulevard, 8th floor, St. Louis, Missouri 63101. Its main number is 314-622-4851, and listed hours are Monday through Friday, except holidays, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Sheriff handles court functions and prisoner transport, but the City Division of Corrections operates the City Justice Center roster.
Choose the source that matches the person’s custody stage:
- For a booking record or photograph, use the home guide and its City or SLMPD records-request instructions.
- For a warrant or later court status, use the official court and Circuit Clerk paths explained on the home guide.
- For a new arrest, check the City locator, then contact Prisoner Processing if intake may not be complete.
- For a release or transfer alert, use Missouri MOVANS through VINELink and follow its current SMS or email instructions.
- For City Justice Center custody, contact the Division of Corrections rather than treating the Sheriff as the jail operator.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use Missouri Department of Corrections Offender Search or its Offender Inquiry contact.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator because City offices do not control those systems.
